Manchester United fans joke legends with combined age of 86 should come back after teaming up in charity match

Manchester United fans have jokingly asked two former stars to rejoin them to help resurrect their turbulent season.

The players in question were Antonio Valencia and Juan Sebastian Veron, who recently took part in a legends tournament in Dubai.

Valencia uploaded a picture alongside the former Argentinian midfielder, with the caption: "I met this great player and great person."

Veron instantly replied: "Crack Antonio, good to see you well."

It did not take long for Man United fans to respond, with many urging the pair to return to the club to help turn around their underwhelming campaign.

One said: "Veron could play a role now….."

Another added: "New signatures incoming midfield General and a qualityyyyy winger the fans we say hello yeahhhh lmao (wishing)."

A third wrote: "You pair walk straight into current United team!"

With a fourth commenting: "Wasn’t sure about Jonny Evans but now we’re talking."

Valencia donned his famous No.25 shirt, which he predominantly wore during his spell at Old Trafford.

The Ecuadorian ace managed 339 appearances for the Red Devils, netting 25 goals and contributing 62 assists.

Veron, meanwhile, made 82 appearances during his time with Man United, scoring 11 goals and managing 15 assists.
