UFC president Dana White showed off his generous side by giving Kyle Forgeard from The Nelk Boys $250,000 on his birthday.

White shares a close bond with the Canadian-American YouTube channel and entertainment company, known for their prank videos, vlogs, and their 'Full Send' brand.

They have recently been branching out into MMA and sent journalist Shawny Mack to cover UFC 276, only for him to be slapped by Nate Diaz and kicked out of the T-Mobile Arena.

Despite that, things are all good between White and the group who recently gifted the UFC president a $300,000 custom Howler Head Mayback van and it appears that he has tried to repay that favour.

“Uncle Dana White just gave me $250,000 for my birthday,” Forgeard wrote alongside a video posted to social media that shows him unboxing a gift from the MMA promoter.

White’s extravagant gift has not gone down well with MMA fans or fighters, with former UFC flyweight Louis Smolka calling for the athletes to unionise for better pay after watching Forgeard’s social media post: “When we starting the union bois.”

This comes on the back of a swell of public outcry about UFC fighter pay after it was revealed that top prospect Paddy Pimblett’s base pay for his first two fights in MMA’s premier promotion was just £9,000.

Fans have also found it tough to accept that UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou makes just £471,000 when WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury made £32 million – that’s 56 times more than Ngannou – for his latest fight.

YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul has been leading the calls for improved pay for UFC fighters and has accused the 52-year-old of mistreating the athletes on his roster.

‘The Problem Child’, who released a Dana White diss track, has expressed his willingness to fight in the UFC for free if they increase fighter pay and introduce health benefits.

As of late, White has stopped interacting with Paul and has shown no signs of buckling under persistent pressure to increase fighter pay, although he has been handing out a lot more bonuses in 2022.
