Michael Bisping says Dan Henderson is the hardest hitter he ever faced during his UFC career – watch the brutal knockout from 2009

Michael Bisping fought for the final time in UFC in 2017, and he is now a Hall of Famer.

The Brit lost nine times in his career, but he never gave up on his dream of becoming the middleweight champion of the world.

At times it seemed really unlikely, but after a victory over perhaps the all-time middleweight great, Anderson Silva, Bisping found his way into contention.

From there, he avenged two previous defeats; one against Luke Rockhold which captured the championship, and the next against Dan Henderson to defend his belt.
Bisping held a Reddit AMA - Ask Me Anything - on r/MMA on Monday and he named Henderson when asked about the hardest hitter he ever faced.

"Probably Dan Henderson," replied Bisping, "but I've no recollection of it!"

The Brit notes he doesn't remember much about the punch because he was savagely knocked out by Henderson - with the KO actually being named 2009's knockout of the year!

You can watch a clip of the brutal knockout, below...

Henderson was a seriously decorated amateur wrestler but he never won gold in UFC, losing to Silva and Bisping for the middleweight title, as well as Quinton Jackson for the light-heavyweight belt.

Anyway, after the pair of satisfying revenge fights, Bisping got a dream bout vs Georges St-Pierre at UFC 237, but he lost the title after submitting.
Then less than a month later the dangerous Kelvin Gastelum knocked him out in the first round and Bisping decided to call it a day - he'd reached the unlikely goal he set.

During the AMA, he was also asked to name the toughest fighter he ever met in the octagon?

He replied: "Chris Leben - I hit him with everything and he just kept walking forward. Tough, tough b*****d."

Bisping defeated Leben in Birmingham prior to facing Henderson for the first time, with the fight going the distance before the Brit was unanimously declared victor.
